Hazelwood Middle School is committed to providing all students the opportunity to reach their educational potential and become responsible and respectful citizens in a multicultural society. We will accomplish this through a nurturing environment where our dedicated and caring staff provide excellent student-centered instruction and guidance.

Yearbooks are In!!!!
 

The 2012-13 yearbooks will be handed out this week.  They will be passed out by grade starting with the 8th graders on Monday, May 13th and finishing with the 5th graders on Thursday, May 16th.  If a student is absent on the day, his/hers is passed out, they will receive it on Friday. 

Extra yearbooks will be available before school in the gym and auditorium while supplies last.  The $35 cost must be paid in cash.

Freshman Orientation at NAHS's Cafeteria: Thursday, July 25th 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
 

Be A Better Bulldog is an orientation program for incoming freshmen at NAHS.  Students will be give the opportunity to meet new classmates, familiarize themselves with the building, review their schedules, find their lockers, and get answers to their questions regarding the start of high school. 

Parents will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with NAHS at the Open House on 9/3/13.

    Hazelwood's Academic Team did an awesome job recently at the academic competition in Seymour!  They placed in the TOP 10 of the entire state in TWO areas (against 71 schools)!!!  They worked so hard and really represented Hazelwood well.  If you know any of the kids on the team, please congratulate them . . . they were super proud of their hard work!

    The top three schools in each class (in blue, bold type) will receive a team plaque and individual medals recognizing this achievement.
    Schools placing 4th - 10th (in red, bold type) will receive a team certificate award.
    Placement is determined by the Regular Score.
    If a tie score exists, each of the three Tie Breaker scores (TB 1 - 3) are used in succession.
    If a tie remains after all tie breakers, the tie stands.
