My name is Kerry Geron and I am the PTO President for Hazelwood Middle School. This is my 5th year being involved with the HMS PTO. We would love to get the word out to all our feeder elementary schools about getting involved in the PTO so we can hit the ground running for the 2016-17 school year. You can find out more by going to our Facebook page at:
https://www.facebook.com/HMSBullpupsPTO or emailing us at hmspto@nafccs.k12.in.us or going to the PTO link for Hazelwood Middle School on the school district website.

We will have information available during Incoming 5th Grade Night April 21, 2016 at 6pm. There will be free refreshments served in the Cafeteria provided by the PTO and the opportunity to purchase HMS Spirit Wear (cash or checks only).

All incoming 5th grade families are also welcome to join us for our next PTO meeting Tuesday May 10, 2016 at 4pm (right after dismissal) in the Media Center/Library. Elections will be held at this meeting so please contact us if you might be interested in a board position. There is something for everyone at any level of involvement. We are a small, informal, but dedicated group and we’d love to have more help to better serve our large student population and staff. There is so much to do to help enhance the experience of your children during their middle school years and the PTO is a great way to get involved.

Thank you,
Kerry Geron
HMS PTO President
parent of NAHS freshman and 5th grader

While he is no longer with us, his legacy lives on in the pages of his books. He forever changed the way children’s books were written and continues to inspire generations. So this month, read Dr. Seuss books, use your imagination, and be silly!
In Katroo, every year, on the day you were born
They start the day right in the bright early morn
When the Birthday Honk-Honker hikes high up Mt. Zorn
And lets loose a big blast on the big Birthday Horn.
And the voice of the horn calls out loud as it plays:
“Wake up! For today is your Day of all Days!”
-Happy Birthday to you, Dr. Seuss!
